to have it and to rely on it. The price of the book, at £90, makes it inaccessible to them. I don’t know of plans to make the book more easily available in East Africa, but it is vital that this happen. In conclusion, Doyle’s analysis is subtle and rich. The body of research on which it is based is monumental. It is a book we can all rely on in moving towards the next stage in studying the problems it addresses.
